Pregnalina

In case you haven't noticed it yet, I suddenly have nothing to say. I find myself doing something that a lot of ALI bloggers seem to abhor - the tendency to only write pregnancy details post-BFP . I seriously don't have any more fountains shooting from my brain. I am still in awe of myself, and my body. I always wanted to, but did not really expect for plain sex to do the trick. My pregnancy is not a fruit of 'Just Relax', as I will like to point out in some other post. And when I read Barb's news , it hit me about how short-lived this can be. I am trying to be very positive. ( If you haven't been there already, please do so now....I hurt for her. ) My symptoms continue as usual. Fatigue disappeared for two short days early this week, but is back in full glory. And yes, I do sleep in my office . *he he he* (My cabin is at the absolute end of a long series of cabins and that grants me some privacy.) Off to get some housework done now...with all the precautions, I...

JuneBeautiful

Before anything else, go sing a happy song for Barbara ...she just found out that she is expecting!!! Completely Awesome! And a pure ray of hope! I know that with the previous post, it appeared to some of you that I was all set to get that IUI. No, I won't . I have put on hold a number of things to be pregnant, or to the imaginary prospect of having conceived. I will not compromise a predictable outcome for the sake of something that remains as much a shot in the dark as ever. I have something lined up really...thesis, weight loss, good shot at pregnancy ( and the last two can run concurrent ). But I cannot keep up with the rush of u/s appointments and my guide's expectations. Plus, I am not a good multi-tasker ( ambiguous about it totally ), and I manage superbly only when I am playing Farmville, and tweeting and writing a mail around the same moment of time * ...I am just not upto doing it. I can get the IUI done in this very city, and that is the sweetest thing, you know. An...

January Pearls

I want to share the verbal pearls that make it a hay day for any infertile....all received by yours truly in the first crudder of 2010. You didn't think I would have spared you...did you? " Add sprouts to your diet ." (Aha! ...the germination principle, I suppose?) " She should have an antidepressantpillbrandname mid-cycle ." (That's the latest thing in addictions really....prescription drugs...wow...imagine the possibilities!!!) " She and DH should go out every weekend. Go away from the city. Spend time with each other ." (It is correct. I tend to ovulate every weekend.) Now that the knowledge-sharing is done, I would like to take a while and do the big reveal . It had been guessed well by a bright one . Enjoy! ^WiseGuy^

Show and Tell: Dripping Gold

Let me begin this Show and Tell, with a fantastic thing. I got a pendant made by Barbara@Burble through her online shop – Tiny Moments of Pure Joy . The pendant reads 3VERHOPE on one side and 2.12.08 on the other. The word was EVERHOPE and I converted the first alphabet to the number of the embies transferred into their eager home. V is for ‘we’. VER for November (November is the only month that has a V in it). This pendant is perfect for me. I wanted something tangible to remember them with. And it’s turned out precious. Surf over to her shop, because as she says best about her jewellery - Nothing is perfect! The letters won't be lined up with any precision instruments other than my own eyes and hands! But they will be made with love. Also, currently the Indian Laburnum ( Amaltas ) is in bloom and it is hard to miss their glory these days. For your viewing pleasure, here is a selection of these blooms (they are one of my mom’s favourites). Important homework details here ! ^WiseG...

One Obsessed Woman’s Guide to the Week Gone By

Monday: It’s night time. A session of lovemaking is in progress. On my side of the bed lies a copy of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. On his side of the bed, there is a copy of Robin Cook’s Outbreak. We are close to a fine conclusion, when I mentally work upon – “Hmmmm…will my child prefer Robin Cook over Plath?” . Can I see your jaw dropping here…just wait! Tuesday: We are returning home after dinner. Turn on the radio to find a beautiful track playing. I liked the song a lot when that particular movie released and over the period of time, try as hard as I could, I was not able to recall its first line. So when the song came on, not only did I not give it all my ears, but I also started wondering why did I forget to scout more the last time I thought of it. Then I start wondering about whether I should set it as my dialer tone? (Dialer tone is the music heard by anyone calling my mobile number). Then I think that since the song is about a mother searching for a son she has lost, people...
