In My Dreams

As a teenager I once solved a maths problem in my dream. I had been working on it a little before dinner time. After I slept, my mind kept working on the problem and I figured out the solution in my dream. I woke up next day and tried what I saw in the dream and voila, the solution held true! That means I truly had the trapping of a great mad mathematician, barring that I managed to fail every Maths test except for the finals and that was the only one time I solved a maths problem in my sleep. Plus, dreaming about numbers was really not my best thought for a dream. Anyways, Monday night I woke up mid-sleep to relieve myself. After that, I had a tiny problem in regaining the sound sleep I was enjoying prior to leaving my bed. And in that half-sleep, half-awake state, there were delicious visions of the baby I was having. I realized that these were the few nights where I shared the bedroom alone with Birdman. I plan to have Kaiser sleep with us (in the same room, though not in the same b...

My First Labour Dream

I birthed Kaiser ( in a dream, thankfully ) on the night of 14th November. Of course, in my dream, the date and situation were very different. I was in office and felt the baby coming. Next thing I know the baby was born...I remember it was in the rear end of an empty classroom on the ground floor (of the institute's building). I do not remember any pain...Also, I was smashing conscious enough to record the date of birth and time as November 28 and 0820 Hrs. Kaiser was very healthy. In fact, by the afternoon, I had him sitting in my arms and I was moving around. The peculiarities do not end there. Kaiser had a thin moustache line. He looked a bit like my father. I was telling everybody that Kaiser was due in February but he had been born early and look how healthy he was. Kaiser had the weight and strength of a 5 month old. He was supporting his neck and sat well on my arm. And where did his clothes come from? I don't know. The dream ended there. Next day, I phoned up my mother...

Another Dream

I dreamt this in the night bridging 10th and 11th May. I woke up from it and it remained alive in my consciousness. Initially, I did not believe it to be a fertility related dream, but after I spoke to my mother about it, I understood that it could have connections to my fertility issues. I was standing in a rectangular backyard…actually it stretched quite a bit, because a common courtyard ran for all the houses. I do not remember about the house from which I emerged. The door was closed and I had come out to pluck flowers. Well, the courtyard on my right had been segregated by low fencing marking the different houses. On my left there was an open stretch. There were no plants in sight except one crepe jasmine tree that was on my left side and at the absolute end of the courtyard (diagonally). I check out by crossing to the end of the right side as well, and well there were no plants and hence no flowers. The crepe jasmine tree was round shaped and the branches, leaves and flowers were...

Morning Chatters that Begin With Nothing

A particular doctor in my current city is on a publicity trail, with photos published of women in her clinic who reported pregnancies through IVF in her clinic. Now, this is a big deal because remember, that I live in a city, where I trust docs only uptil IUIs, and I need to travel to another city for anything above that. I was happy, that such (professional) practice had begun in this city. I had forgone a chance in September 2009 to undergo IVF in this city , at the same doctor's. What I was a little ticked about was that photographs of the women who had conceived through IVF were published, and I think that this compromises their privacy. Nobody publishes photographs saying: " Hey, this woman had crazy s#x and is now knocked up .", but it was a matter of curiosity and novelty to point out women upfront who chose another not-so-hot way of conception. Maybe I latched onto that transgression because I am slightly more sensitive than a common person about what phenomenon t...

Just Passed By

# Thursday, October 15, 2009 I woke up to a live dream. I baked a cake for my daughter's first birthday and was discussing whether to ice the cake or not with my husband. I was not in favour of the icing, because I thought the cake looked beautiful even minus that, and my hubby thought that it would look even better with the icing. But I remember the little girl distinctly. She had a full head of black hair, she was tiny and delicate looking and had a light wheatish complexion. She was so light to carry. In fact, she was smaller than the size of an average one year old. And she had a name: A- . I actually woke up happy. ^WiseGuy^ P.S.: 1. I do not bake cakes, for the lack of knowing how to bake them. 2. I have never had named children in my dreams, and the name A- is not in my consideration list at all.

Cards on the Table

With the last hand that Fate dealt me, I was forced to ‘show’ my cards and surrender them for the time being… I read this Donald Rumsfeld quote somewhere that ‘ The world is full of known-knowns, known-unknowns and unknown-unknowns ’. Even though I never really have evaluated Rumsfeld stature in shaping up our world, for me those words rings truer again and again. The anticipated/awaited August cycle is out of the door for me. Even though my advisor wants me to finish my work by September, I personally think it is unrealistic and hence, I shall be trying to realize that dream in a little longer duration. Till the time my final thesis gets submitted into the university and my final Viva happens, there is no calendar window that I can use for a two-month stimming fest. Now, even though I can’t do IVF/ICSI, and I have no faith in IUI, I can still keep trying, naturally. Is that not fair? I am still not decided on ultrasounds-directed sex, but I can work up with the little knowledge that I...

Dream

Last night, I dreamt that I helped a lady in delivering a baby. It was a normal delivery. The woman was in labour and I refused to do it, but the male companion of the woman asked me to deliver it, since I was a doctor's daughter and had some idea of doing it, to say the least. It was a male child that I delivered. The setting was the old house that once me and my family occupied - the house I grew up in. I remember using the back door of the house to come out. It was dark, perhaps late in the night, but lights were on in most of the homes and people could be seen. Then I observed the tree that was there in a nearby compound. I remember the tree, it was a very tall mango tree, that had almost taken a shot at kissing the sky with its height. The tree had branches and leaves on only the top 30 percent of its length. Another person that I recognize from my real life, told me that the tree was evil. I remember seeing the tree, and feeling the coldness and darkness enveloping it. That...

Show and Tell: Help Me Understand

Hello, How have you been doing? Today there are no pictures that I can share with you. What I want to share is the content from a queer dream I had. I have mentioned that dream previously as well. But, given what has happened, I believe that there was some message for me which I could not understand then. This is what I saw: I saw one snake and two hares hunting for prey - the hare were flanking the snake on either side. I was sitting on the floor in a room where I was observing them at a close distance. Now, I am not a snake lover and I was scared looking at that hissing snake. The room is from an old home we once occupied. A large part of my school and college life was spent in this home. I am not too sure about what they were hunting. The hare were grey and the snake had a shiny leopard-dots skin. At this point of time I was woken up. Interpretation(s): 1. Three animals - three embryos 2. An aunt told me that seeing a snake is an indicator of having possibly conceived a male child...
