Switched My Iron

Just to update you on the whole fuss I made about the dipping Hemoglobin, here's the thing: I switched my iron supplement! The one I have been taking from the beginning of this pregnancy is Ferrous Fumarate IP (152 mg), and it has been replaced with Ferrous Bis-glycinate (60 mg). The kind advice came from my resident OB ( aka dear mother ). Ferrous bisglycinate is a chelated form of iron.(Chelated means amino acids are attached to the mineral) Hopefully things will get better. Also, I hope the new drug will permit me to not enjoy the benefit of mild acid reflux that stays with me for a part of the day. And oh, there is this evil hill rising on my forehead too... And I am leaving you with You Learn (Alanis Morissette). ^WiseGuy^

He & She

I think I am gaining weight. Hot Damn! Coz I do not need any more grams on me as it is. I suspect it is the supplements, which are turning me into a bonnie, bouncing lass. My diet has actually reduced ( 105 degrees Fahrenheit is a little cold, really ) and yet I seem to be 'swelling'. DH believes the supplements make him cranky. He has not stopped them. It is just that he randomly made a few tablets get lucky, by being prioritized. DH is scheduling consumption of a few of them such that he does not take all of them in a single day. Wow! I wonder if God will forgive us for skipping on the hoo that we need to take with all the food and the clean water and the fresh air, and that he will forgive us enough to kick in anyways and have me strapping knocked up sometime soon. ^WiseGuy^ P.S. If I looked as good as the woman in the image, I would be in the movies for sure. Doubt Clearing

I have been asked questions on the last two posts, which I would like to answer in one go... *** Yes, the supplements were recommended by a doctor. *** My doses are written neatly on a Post-it note stuck on a cupboard in the kitchen. I did not have to refer to it to remember what I needed to take after the first two days. *** Do I feel different? Actually no. I am neither bursting with energy, nor have I suddenly acquired the prowess of boiling a glassful of water by a simple stare. It is feeling as-usual. *** Yes, I do think about why I need to be taking it when not too many people need to do it, with better outcomes. However, I am mentally comfy with the idea that it will contribute to my well-being anyways. You have any other query about this? ^WiseGuy^

Check Appearances

My injections finished yesterday. 10th was crappy for me. I woke up feeling dull, had a headache and was awfully gloomy. In the afternoon, I took a nap and that is when I started feeling better. I told my doc about being depressed and she asked me to go watch a new comedy flick (I have better taste in movies than to tolerate that). What did I watch - Biography of Saddam Hussain on History Channel!!! Anyways, 11th was better for me. I think I am beginning to have ulcers in my mouth. I have to do something for that. I am already taking B-Complex supplements twice a day and the dosage cannot be upped anymore. So, now I am looking for options to deal with the mouth ulcers! ^WiseGuy^
