Response...

Thanks for all the input on the previous post. The bleeding spiralled up suddenly, and that made me nervous....thankfully, things are under control now. Plus, I did not attempt to wait for things to get reined on their own, because of what happened last time. Yes Elana, I am using disposable undies. :-) I am not going to be posting a pic here of Figlia. I can however mail a pic, if you send your mail id.....

Press 8 to Go Back to the Main Menu

Press 1 if you want to know how many more days of bleeding are exactly left. Press 2 if it is convenient to squirt, so please do. Press 3 to shut off the squirting for a while. Press 4 to not feel any discomfort in the squirting. Press 5 to squirt such that you ruin your clothes, your blessed sleep, and wake up the baby for a feed right at the same time. I pressed option 5 at 3 o'clock today morning. I had to use a little pill to kill off the bleeding for a while. I have not forgotten what had happened last time with the will-not-stop-bleeding. And I wish all those above options were available.

Days with Figlia

Things 'settled' down, if settling is what it is called, with Figlia from Day 6 onwards. By Day 10 onwards, I could actually point out that she would sleep immediately after her bath/sponging...and that this stretch would be the longest stretch of sleep she would be on.  She takes feeds throughout the day, and it is divided into mini/large feeds. And at night she usually takes several mini (short-duration) feeds and the long ones cause her to either doze off a while or we have poo business to take care of. I read a long while ago in Reader's Digest is that the trouble with kids is that even though the expectant parents read Dr. Spock, the children don't! How true. For me, the magnitude sopped off only when it truly happened. I still don't have sleep issue organized. But I am finally able to squeeze in a few minutes here and there. And the first night she let me sleep a whole two hours had me so happy that it was incredible. I never thought two hours sleep could h...

Thinking and Remembering

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.

Feline Distress

A stray cat had made our front garden a cosy place for herself and her two kittens this week. The kittens would fight leaf monsters, paw flower pots, and in general climb up and down the place. The cat funnily enough always climbed to the birdhouse, and sat there, watching everything from the distance. Then there was general frolic in the sunshine, and sleeping around, and sometimes the cat & kids would be gone for a while. That happened till Thursday. I first noticed a strange timbre of meowing that day...and thought the cat-daddy was around. Friday, I realized that it was the feline-missus herself, and she was meowing strange. And that's when I noticed that the kittens are gone. The kittens weren't old enough or trained enough to have taken stake to their own independent living. I have no idea what happened to the kittens. And the cat continues to meow in its strange voice. I think the cat is missing her children. Maybe she knows her kids are in trouble, or that they ...

Dreamy

Baby wakes up full-score at around 2000 hrs lately. There is cruising and kicking and general rolling around it seems...and I get to feel the baby's bums or sometimes a limb. The benefit of the reduced space is that when a foot is moved around, there is a visible hump on my skin that gets into motion. And for once, as I had it today, I am happy to just rub my belly and feel the life within. Contractions are a source of joy too. I love feeling my uterus harden up. If I am standing, sometimes I feel more. I love the pressure the baby levies on my pelvic area. In another world, I would have waited for the baby to have been born the way they are naturally born. Even though I will go under a knife and give birth to the baby, for today I am glad to know, atleast partially what it feels like.

On Blog BackUp

I was taking a MS-Word blog backup for my blog (thanks to Mel ). And I realized that there has been such a change in my writing, or even the subjects of my blog. The premise was always infertility, but its handling changed so much. For a long while I worked at tweaking my body to make it pregnancy friendly and it felt like nothing worked...there was so much frustration in my voice. My blog has kept my memory alive. A simple post of my stirring a pot of soup and praying that my periods not arrive and feeling this dullness come over me and knowing....such a simple activity and yet it kind of underlined my desperation through and through. The change in our abode, my instant liking of my new environs, the bed/room we conceived CBub in....so many things flashed around when I had finished copy-pasting and was browsing through my old entries. There is so much I have achieved over these couple of years, and yet, it seemed so difficult to begin with. And the truth is that I am not even very ...

Pregnancy RoundUp - Who Would Have Thought Version

As in, I actually expected the last round up to be the last one before delivery, and look at me have another go! - I have wisdom overload thanks to the great timing of a wisdom tooth emerging right around this time...it could have waited, but no! I am not taking any pain meds, and I don't plan to unless I can't avoid it. - Bring on potato chips, keep the sweets on...and you have me happy. - I tend to feel this fuller feeling in my pelvis, and some general amount of tugging....not painful at all. - I hadz a BH! I hadz it when my mum was checking the baby's position...and she asked me if I was having one (my belly went hard)...and I said - 'I don't know'...there was no pain, but now I know what I need to watch out for. - Season loves the CTG blobs...two blobs get bound to my belly for the readings, and Season tends to kick at the blobs or move between them. Which sometimes leads to the lovely 'Loss of Contact' or the nurse/doctor having to move the ...
