K-Y-I

We talk about KYC, meaning Know-Your-Customer. The title? It means K-Y-I, i.e. Know-Your-Infertile. This happened on Saturday morning, and it took me just two seconds to decide not to post it. And then it happened again, today evening. Saturday morning, I was climbing down the stairs, when my neighbour (to whom I had spoken cipher times before that; a complete stranger) kind of joined me on the same. I mentioned the weather, and her second question to me? How many children do you have? Her third question? How long have you been married? Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah! And today evening while I was making my way from the parking lot to the escalator, the watchman handed me some mail, and asked I don't see any children around. Where are the children? On my response that I have no children as yet, he asked... How long have you been married? Can I please kill you now? New building. New people. Same old questions. Same old need-to-know-everything . {You want the truth? You can't handle the truth...

Musings: Benign and Envy-filled

I opened my refrigerator to find my stock of the pee-sticks at zero. On 26th, I will buy myself the customary devils, coz I have resolved to test every cycle , no matter how vague my chances are. ************************************ This past week has witnessed me packing like crazy. Neighbours from the previous building popped up at random, enquiring my need to move during those two days of packing/shifting. One of the ladies was asking me about what other homes we had seen through for possible renting. I told her how we were stuck on finding a flat to live in rather than an independent house/bungalow for safety reasons (as DH tends to stay away from the city at sporadic intervals). She nodded in complete agreement at the DH-away angle. “And you don’t even have children, or that would have kept you occupied a bit.” She also wanted to know why we decided to move into a three bedroom apartment. Because I may reproduce. “Oh no other flat was empty, and this location is quite nice.” ( whi...

The Truth is (mostly) Out There

Even though several thoughts are swimming in my mind, I am not sure how coherently I can thread them into a post. Mostly, the news is that I am back. And yes, combining tampons and sanitary napkins helped me manage my periods well, because I could stay away from the loo for extended time periods. My periods should have ended on Saturday, October 31 but minor spotting persisted yesterday, and when I saw a fresh red stain today as well, I decided that I had had enough. So, with today's Metformin, I combined an Etosys-MF and no ASA, and Etosys has done its work. No spotting, no irritation and all. Weddings are a potent time to get fresh bruises. Luckily, I came out unscathed. The first day though, I and my SIL were halted by a neighbour at her gate ( while we were walking towards the groom's house ), and her blessing to me was "Bhagwan tumhari god jaldi bhare." i.e. Hoping God will bless you with a baby in your lap soon. Unwarranted, but true. The actual wedding did not ...

Eventually, I Want to Have Sex With You!

Caught you, didn't I? Ha, the blog title is just a joke. Please do not take it seriously. Yesterday, DH was reading to me from a book that spoke of men and women and why they are the way they are and what they are and such. DH read about what the genders say, and what it actually means. The post title is what the book interpreted men-talk to be. Anyways, not only did DH read me the 'joke', he was even role-playing a bit and though, I had read the joke in some e-mail forward, it really made me laugh. I also attended a pre-wedding, song party at my landlord's yesterday evening. One of my neighbours(mother of two kids) enquired: So, what are your plans? //Don't get her wrong. She is definetely not asking about my career plans. She wants to know when I will have kids. Prompt Reply: By my 15th anniversary for sure! // Don't get me wrong. I was only buying time! he...he...he... I am still waiting for the Disco Lights to pop over my head! ^WiseGuy^ P.S. This post is p...
