Before anything else, go sing a happy song for Barbara...she just found out that she is expecting!!! Completely Awesome! And a pure ray of hope!
I know that with the previous post, it appeared to some of you that I was all set to get that IUI. No, I won't. I have put on hold a number of things to be pregnant, or to the imaginary prospect of having conceived.
I will not compromise a predictable outcome for the sake of something that remains as much a shot in the dark as ever.
I have something lined up really...thesis, weight loss, good shot at pregnancy (and the last two can run concurrent). But I cannot keep up with the rush of u/s appointments and my guide's expectations. Plus, I am not a good multi-tasker (ambiguous about it totally), and I manage superbly only when I am playing Farmville, and tweeting and writing a mail around the same moment of time*...I am just not upto doing it.
I can get the IUI done in this very city, and that is the sweetest thing, you know.
And oh, I need to update you on this. The wedding is scheduled for December 2011. Buys me time!!!

* pun intended...

It was a nice dream and nice of God to send you a message! Surely He didn't mean the back-to-back IUI's had to be done NOW.
ReplyDeleteTake time for yourself. Take care of yourself. You will be the first person to know when you are READY.

ReplyDeleteIt is indeed awesome and thank you S for the mention!
ReplyDeleteIf you're not ready then you're not. Your time will come and you will know it. And I'll be cheering you on!
xxx
I am not surprised that you did not jump when someone else's dream told you to. :)
ReplyDeleteStick to your guns, and the plan girlfriend!!!!
ReplyDeleteTrusting one's instincts and reason is the most important immaterial thing we have in life.
ReplyDeleteYou will get to walk that dream path* when you get to that point. If now you feel it's not that time, then it is not. We're cheering you on anyway.
* pun intended as well ;-)
School and IF treatments at the same time are not fun! I speak from experience. I consider myself a decent multitasker and I totally had panic attacks leading up to this IVF. Projects due, HWs due, shots to take, US/BW appts to go to.... ugh... TOO many things to keep track of. I felt like I didn't do justice to either. Sooo not worth it. And it seems like you are on the same thought process. Here's to you so you can stick with your plan.
ReplyDeleteDecember 2011 does buy you time! That is awesome. I really really hope that you make it by then!
Breathe deep, follow your plans and do what works for you. You know what you have to do and you know what is best for you. Good luck with it all, hun!
