Flares and Busts

Needless to say it out loud, the days in house are not on an even keel. The children are getting serially sick, Figlia had tonsillitis, and now M is recovering from diarrhoea. Life is about ensuring that prescriptions are filled on time.

I have not had any major meltdowns with him.

But there are off and on flares, and I dig and I dig and I dig. The digs often lead to very intimate questions. And the saga of their intimacy gets to my brain every time. There are small details - tiny, sharp shards that pierce through everything core.

I have to work hard to not to bring in my natural flare for snark and sarcasm in my comments, and instead focus on asking questions and then more questions.

Revelations and Realizations are great friends, I must tell you.

I have used very colourful language recently in describing Molly...words that I am ashamed of speaking loudly, and words that don't naturally come to me when thinking of people. But God knows that I have used most of my dirty vocab already.

Sometimes, I astound myself with how calmly I am living my life - that people around me and outside hardly have any clue of the hell I feel stuck in.

I am angry, and unable to show my anger. I feel violated and defiled, and I hardly look so.

I would not know what to say to Molly if she does appear in front of me, right this instant. I do want to slap her, but I would need a lot of mental preparedness for that.

I laid a curse on Molly. I am no Sylvia Ganush, but my betrayed heart feels a pain quite unbeknownst to me before this experience.

A very wise thought I read on an infidelity blog said that one must leave if one wants to leave, and one must stay on, if that is what one wants, and if one is unable to decide, one must take all the time in the world to decide.

Comments

  1. my DH and I recently attended a relationship seminar and the therapist told us that she has seen marriages where there had been infidelity survive - but only when 1. the infidelity had stopped 100% AND 2. when both partners had committed to learn from the infidelity and put it securely in the past (once all the hurt etc had been worked through)

I wish you well Bell always.

I Should Have Known

...On the night of 19th when my breasts became hard and sore to touch, the nurses brought me hot water bottles rather than my baby. I should have known. ...Birdman was apparently away to Very Big City with our baby. Every SMS update sent to me about her after 16th Jan was fake. I was a donkey eating at his trough. I should have known. ...Visitors who came to see me in the hospital did not look me straight in the eye. I should have known. ...My mother sounded reluctant every time I asked her on a timeline on when my stitches would be cut and I could travel to Very Big City. I should have known. ...I grieved at how many pricks and tubes were affixed to my little baby while she lay cold and unfeeling at the bottom of an earth pit fatigued from all the effort she put into staying alive. Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
