The Last Update was here...
- Figlia has umbil.ical hernia - not painful, harmless and likely to correct itself out.
- She has started holding her head more steady.
- On her back, she turns her neck to either directions. On her belly, she is able to lift, turn and position her head.
- Figlia turns on her belly while sleeping (if I have laid her on one of her sides), and I realized that she naps longer on her belly - momma gene?
- She turns clockwise and anti-clockwise while sleeping.
- We are now sucking the back of our palms, putting fingers inside our mouth - she has been doing that anyways.
- She has a stronger afternoon naptime schedule. She wakes up for feeds in between, but that's her call. I do not have to wake her up for feeds.
- She fidgets a lot while sleeping. I can sense her stirring, and sometimes she makes noises like she is awake, but she will promptly go back to sleep after that.
- She calls out if she thinks she is alone in the room. She loves someone talking to her when she is playful.
- I can finally see the fat on her body - fat rolls around the places where wrinkly skin used to be. Thank you.
- Since the last weigh in (in end-Feb), and the one that happened last Saturday, Figlia has gained 3.19 lbs...very grateful for that!
- We talk, talk some more and squeal.
Sounds like she is doing great!!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're both doing much better. Give her a big cuddle from me. :)
ReplyDeleteProgress! Weight gain! It gets even better from here (although you still worry).
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are going in the right direction! Ginny has always done that turning in her sleep. She manages to turn all the way around sometimes. Gets totally tangled up in her blanket now too.
ReplyDeleteI read that most babies sleep better on their tummies - because they don't startle, don't flail their arms. So once they are able to turn on their own - tummy-sleeping is better, since they sleep longer and tighter! Yay to Figlia getting big enough to deserve the tummy-sleeping :)
ReplyDeleteI am also amused watching rolls of fat accumulating on Timothy, I find his belly now quite hilarious - when he's on his back. You know, it's almost a beer belly :)
I napped with Timothy today - my god, he fidgets a lot! Once again, I though I could never co-sleep in the same bed. Nap - yeah, but sleep? No thank you, I need some distance from all he fidgeting and noises :)
Yea for weight gain and sleeping babies!!
ReplyDeleteHow great that she's putting on the weight and doing so well :)
