Trip Molloy!

A couple of days before I was to depart, I had been considering taking a hotel accommodation (specifically for the day the conference ended because my train the next day was early morning). Since the venue was about an hour away from the train station, I thought I could max out my sleeping time, by shifting from the venue to a hotel within the city. My second issue was that organizers were giving shared accommodation, and I was not sure of who I would get saddled with (I have never shared accommodation with someone else in any of the conferences I have attended before), so I decided on a better idea.

In the three day conference, I shifted to a hotel, on day two, rather than the third day. It was too good of me to have followed my gut feeling. Accommodation at the venue was shizzed out, and staying at the hotel gave me the privacy, freedom and flexibility I needed, and a great bed, and a great view. I used up my first hotel night to go to this plush buffet that was highly recommended by a site I follow and write reviews for. The food was superb.

I used up my last evening for going to this hotel known for its meat preparation, and then for waffles at another place. The thing is that the locations of both these places were at two opposite ends of the city, and if I were travelling with hubby, or someone else, I would have had to have a far more solid reason than plain whim to convince them to travel for nibbling like this.

On the inside though, I was swamped in a massive guilt because of M's sickness. I had the "bad mom" feeling gnawing at me, since I was not there taking care of him.

I returned Monday afternoon (yesterday), and M was already better. He still has a cough and running nose, but the fever is gone.

I took Figlia to the local fair yesterday after coming home and we enjoyed the rides and a bit of shopping.

I Should Have Known

...On the night of 19th when my breasts became hard and sore to touch, the nurses brought me hot water bottles rather than my baby. Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
