First Dinner of 2017

##TMI ahead##

...was a disaster.

We went out for dinner at a city hotel.

It was a buffet meal.

M was hungry and began pulling at the table cloth as soon as we were seated. Once he ate a bit, he calmed down enough to stop being angry at things.

Figlia on the other hand, would like her hands clean as soon as she decides she is done. So, she took what she wanted, and then decided she was done, and wanted to have her hands washed. DH took her to the washroom.

DH and I had only managed to have soup, and starters.  M was already moving around in the restaurant, and in the mood to get out of the place.

I had already been out into the lobby and the hotel basement where there was a party going on.

We came back, but M wasn't settling down.

Figlia then announced that she wanted to poop. DH asked her if it was urgent, and she said No.

By this time, M was already out of the restaurant, and because Figlia was done with dinner, I took her out with me, so that atleast one of the adults could eat.

We were all in the hotel lobby when Figlia said that she wanted to go. So, I went back to restaurant to call DH. Figlia followed me in, M didn't.

When DH came out, M was no where to be seen. What followed was five minutes of frantic searching, till it hit me where he could be.

Mr. M was in basement, attending a party. He went there for the balloons.

Somehow, whatever appetite remained had gone away already.

We paid the bill and went out, and someone had wrongly parked their card right behind ours.

It was another ten minutes before we left for our home.

When do peaceful meals happen?

Comments

  1. When do peaceful meals happen? When you leave the children at home with a babysitter.

Although, I did find, when taking my niece and nephews out once, that the proper adult/child ratio is 5 adults for every 3 children.

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
