Hasty Post

So, today we are on the last dose of the anti-malarial drug. That is correct, the fever that I originally ascribed to the measles vaccine was actually a fever from some other cause. I am also hoping that this detection and therapy will put an effective end to the recurrent fever episodes we have had with M. If I count this little one, M has had five bouts of fever in roughly the last two months.

Figlia has expanded her scribbling horizon by using our non-carpeted floor and walls of the living room for scribbling and general depiction of life. I now totally dread the surprise I-was-just-passing-by visit by my landlady. She will surely be upset. And she never stops by purpose. She purposefully randomizes her visits.

BTW, my landlord is far more palatable than my landlady. But the former hardly comes, and the latter is the one I deal with on a regular basis. She is irritating because she comes in any time she wants, and sits around dispensing free advice on several things including parenting.

Today, my father has come to be with us for a few days, and tomorrow my in-laws will arrive. My BIL/SIL/nieces were also expected, but they won't be coming due to some reason.

I am hoping that their visit is uneventful, because I have enough nagging issues on my brain already. Plus, their concept of communication is of one where feedback is not needed and mostly unwelcome. I am dreading the weekend for that reason.

  1. Wow, malaria?! I'm speechless. Hope he gets better soon.
    That landlady? A nightmare.
I hope the visit pans out exactly as you hope.

  2. Oh, well - malaria. Of course! What's next, the plague? (Someone in the states just had the bubonic plague, actually - I probably shouldn't say that!). Poor baby - I hope the medication works.

Put your in-laws to work cleaning up Figlia's artwork! Everyone wins!

  3. Poor guy. I hope the meds work their wonders and he's able to heal.

A house full of relatives sounds like so much fun! Or not. Mostly not.

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
