I am back to work.
I tend to leave house before DH and F. DH drops her to daycare daily and I pick her up in the evening.
DH continues to breeze in late evening (8:45 pm - ish). He is divine when he is home. Figlia immediately slips off and hounds him. I can get a chance to go pee and not be followed by her.
Figzy has finally started watching TV, and is interested in directing what is played on it at what time.
I have this stupid rash someplace on my torso, and had crazy itching all over my back two nights back. I was okay the whole day, and the itching recurred last evening. Just like the night before, I took an antihistamine to kill the itching.
It is now that I realize that I am drowsy, yawning and feeling dull, and it could be the drug. I had a wave of sleep roll over me yesterday noon at work. And today, the waves are just crashing into me.
But I am not thrilled to be back here. I am just going through the motion of coming to my job, and don't feel ready to do anything. It would be fine if they just pay me, and not make me work, but that won't happen, would it?
My workplace is competitive. I will not take it to cut-throat but seriously, if chopping someone's credibility, pitting one against the other, or manipulation works, we do have some masters on that art present here. And I have no fire in my belly, just lot of gas.

M has begun grinding his gums, a sure sign of teething. But he is more than a fortnight shy of 5 months, and so this appears early to me.
Don't worry about the competition at work - for now, just go and do your thing and use it as a way to take a break from the demands of family. You can ease back into the competition slowly - it's always going to be there.
ReplyDeleteIf you do, however, find that job that will pay you and not require you to do any actual work, please let me know. I've been searching for it forever.
I bet Figlia is thrilled to have Daddy at her beck and call again...
