Changes and Differences...

I remember Kmina once said that one forgets the early baby days pretty fast. I think she said that in reference to the arrival of Stevie and the early days.

I had the same feeling, and except now, my memory is coming back.

Figlia used to raise hell when she was hungry...she would cry miserably. That happens with M, when he has pooped. He will sound the alarm and is calmed only when he has been changed.

Figlia loved bathing enough to get her displeasure noted when removed from water. M does not resist bathing, but he does not fuss much over being removed from the water. He gets fussy more because he is now hungry.

Figlia was as happy on the bed, as she was in my lap. M is more a lap baby.

Figlia has started asking for cartoons to be put on TV. She asks for a specific one, but still settles for anything animated...mostly those that have animals (both farm and wild ones) and cars/trains. Why this is significant is because my daughter would not watch TV at all...she would just not watch! She would only focus if there was some song, or something else that caught her eye or ear. Otherwise, her attention on it would be fleeting.

  1. Memory is one treacherous gal, my dear. You will be surprised at the things you remember. And even more at what you can forget.
Finding the differences between children, otherwise called comparing them, is a favourite sport. Kept hidden though, because we should not compare. :-)
F sounds like a real ball of fun. Would love to hear more about her. :-)

  2. My girl was never very interested in TV - the only thing she would really focus on was one particular meteorologist, who sort of resembled her father. Other than that, she would watch a couple 1-2 minute videos on YouTube, mostly for the songs. Then, when she was 3 or 4, she started to get interested in movies and children's programming on TV. Now, she's back to YouTube videos...about Minecraft.

It must be fun to contrast behavior between the two...
