It's been a couple of weeks since I have realized that M responds to Figzy. If Figzy is in the house, you can always track her location from the sounds emerging....if she is in the house and too quiet, either something is getting messed up, or she has found something very engrossing.
But M really kicks hard when Figzy squeals in excitement, and I was really touched to see that happen. Figzy also spontaneously comes around to kiss my belly, and is accepting of an invitation to come and feel the baby.
If I complain that M is kicking too much, she defends M by saying that the baby is just loving me.

Figzy takes a noon nap again lately....has skipped just once in the last few days. But you can't reveal that you are trying to make her sleep.
There was a time when she would tell me to 'not close my eyes' in the afternoon, but lately she permits me, and plays next to me, and often falls into sweet slumber on her own.
Night time is a big toss. She does not go down before midnight.

The kid's vocabulary has exploded...and she uses the right words in the right context. Everyday there is a new word I hear. Yesterday, she used the word secret of her own accord.

We were on the upper floor of the house, and there was a sound of playful chatter coming in from outside. She recognized who were talking, and every name she took was there outside. Wow!

I have not been able to document this pregnancy as superbly as the last two...but here are a few things still standing.
Most importantly, my last doppler was good news because M weighs more (fetal weight, that is) than either of the sisters at 33 weeks. There was no loop of cord and the baby is very responsive.
I hate tofu and the smell of cooking cabbage. I have a high bump, but it is more horizontal than vertical.
I love citrus-y scents, and fruits...and crave fried food...Fried food fires the acids, so I am trying to stay away.
And yes, I do have a sweet tooth.

Sounds like your sibling rivalry worries may be for naught!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how fast they learn? It makes me feel old and slow...until my girl comes up with some wacky idea with no basis in reality and then I feel a little better.
This post makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet about the siblings! I love this kind of updates. :-)
