Going Out with a Blast

Technically, the last day of August is the last day of me in office. But it seems the break is light years ahead. The next few days are whirlwind, with Sunday being working too.

There is nothing much in terms of cravings that I have in this pregnancy, except well, potato chips. And I can't stand tofu...neither the smell, nor the taste.

My nausea is back.

Figzy is again passing through a whiny phase and it is not pretty. It takes steel reserve to let her cry it out and not relent. Relenting would only firm up her resolve to repeat the crying, and I can do well without it.

And we are not crying on big things really.

Our common problem these days is that she does not want to get inside the door after we come back home. I adore standing outside the house's front door in the evening attempting persuasion and bribery and fancy stories to get her inside. Because it is very adorable to do so, we could be standing outside for a full 15 minutes, and then once in by force, crying for a good-lord amount of time at the gross injustice doled out.

"You don't listen to me", she complains. Sigh.

  1. Ummm - I suppose there's no way you can just leave her outside, is there? A handy neighbor to keep an eye on her while you go in and get some stuff done would be fantastic. But, if that is not available...just give in and stay outside sometimes. Tell her that you'll do it on Wednesdays (or whatever day is convenient), but the rest of the time you have to get in and get stuff done.

Nausea again? Terrible! That's supposed to go away after the 1st trimester!

  2. I love the attitude, mixed with opinions and talking back. I love it in other children, not mine, that is. In my children, that makes me lose my temper in .2 seconds. The talking back is seriously a bad trigger. Wasn't that supposed to happen ten years from now or so?!
Hope the nausea goes away soon.
I have no advice. I just hope everything gets better soon.
