Dance and Sleep

Figlia has joined a dance class (at her daycare). The daycare lady organized the class, but fees is extra and so it is an opt-in. From what I hear, Figzy is enjoying it.

I wonder if the baby thing is going a bit too far. Figzy insists that she too has a baby in her tummy. And while we are that, she rubs DH's belly too to pat the baby. DH has been trying to point out that it's not true, and only Mumma has the baby, but I think now Figzy insists only for amusement.

We are again in the potty training game. Figzy tells when she wants to go pee, and that happens accident-free.

But she still does not say about the other job till she has done it, and after washing her pjs and her for a few evenings (we have not been able to establish a potty schedule so far), I did make her wear a diaper in the evening yesterday.

As such, we are now using diapers for nap-time and overnight use.

Speaking of naps, Figzy went nap-less on Sunday, and did not have a meltdown till the evening! She did get cranky by 8 p.m., when she asked to be put in bed. And we obeyed.

  1. Frostina sometime tells me she has a baby in her tummy too.

  2. V thinks that I have babies in my belly and my brea.sts. He also thinks that there is one in his belly, and my husband's. Yeeaaahhhh.... LOL. Still a bit young to get it, but it's something ;)

The dance class sounds fun for her!

  3. Figzy certainly runs the show at your place, doesn't she? :D

Still lots of time to work on the potty training, but wouldn't it be great if she mastered it before New Baby comes?

  4. I know she is ahead of her peers by a long shot, but give her a little break, she is only two, she can get away with not mastering the toilet training just yet. And usually it takes a bit to master the holding it in" for naps and night time as well, in general about 2-6 months after being toilet trained while awake. Of course some children can and will be toilet trained early, but there will also be loads more accidents before three, when they are medically proven to be able to willingly control their bladders and bowels. By the sound of it, she will be quite the pro before the new arrival.

The music and dance classic seem to be the most enjoyed by children, regardless of their music abilities. Very happy for Figzy, I can almost imagine her twirling and singing. :-)

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
