ICLW Welcome

It's been a while since I did ICLW. And a way longer while since I wrote an ICLW introduction.

Hi to everyone who are coming over from ICLW (and otherwise too)!

I am Elsie, and currently parenting after infertility. My daughter just turned two years old. I went back to full-time work when my daughter turned six months old.

I am mother of two, but parenting one because I suffered neonatal loss with my first-born. Before that, I grappled with unexplained infertility for a few years (count the entire bracket of time I was trying for a child), and underwent all the joyful prodding, pricking and fancy wand treatments that go with infertility.

My kid is quite the handful, and we hope to have another child, (though I keep going back and forth on this), and well my body's cooperation is legendary in this regard.

You can read my entire bio on one of the zillion tabs on my blog for a more detailed timeline.

Have a good day!

  2. Hi from ICLW! I hope that if/when you decide to try again you have quick success without the crazy emotional roller coaster ride :)

  3. Stopping by from ICLW. I also have a two-year-old and agree, they are such a handful at this age. We're currently battling his refusal to get in the car seat, something he's never protested before. Fun times!

  4. I don't have any kids, but I spend a lot of time with my niece who is about two and a half now. What a handful she can be too! Drives me crazy sometimes, but I love her dearly. Good luck to you should you decide to TTC again. :)

  5. Happy ICLW! This is my first time participating in a long time too. Good luck as you decide to grow your family :)

  6. I hope whether or not you decide to grow your family more, that you'll have peace about the decision.

  7. After reading your TTC page, I can understand the mixed feelings. (My body's "cooperation" is pretty legendary, too!) Wishing you peace on whatever path you choose.

I Should Have Known

...On the night of 19th when my breasts became hard and sore to touch, the nurses brought me hot water bottles rather than my baby. I should have known. ...Birdman was apparently away to Very Big City with our baby. Every SMS update sent to me about her after 16th Jan was fake. I was a donkey eating at his trough. Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
