Call it gut check.
I had reason to believe that we got our timing right this month.
I had symptoms too: out of whack bowels, drowsiness.
My periods are still a couple of days away.
I decided to test anyways.
Figlia did not ask for milk all night but she was fidgety and I slept fitfully last night. I woke up around 3 a.m. There was lightning outside. I desperately wanted to pee.
I decided to 'save my pee'.
At 5:25, I left the bed and did the deed.
A single line appeared.
Experience has taught me to not discard pee sticks. I kept this one on its appropriate place - any surface which is beyond Figlia's reach.
Around 7:30 a.m., I peered at the stick again. The pink on it looked mottled. A short time later, I saw a faint second line.
I must be imagining it. I stared at it, took it to the window and burned it with my x-ray vision. The white other line was pinkish.
It would have helped to have the second line shoot up immediately. But well, being goofball is a trend here.
I could have let there be unbridled conviction that I am pregnant, but my mind is now racing through two possibilities - false positive or pregnancy.
Call it will power to not have whipped out the other unused test and use it immediately.
Or I could be stupid.
I am a little lost right now.
And I saved the stick from being licked by Figlia.
Eek! I am hoping for what your heart hopes for! Sending mad good vibes your way, my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt would be a much waited for nice surprise, wouldn't it? I too am hoping for what your heart hopes for. Can hardly wait for an update.
ReplyDeletekeeping my fingers crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteHoping for you!
ReplyDeleteI too am hoping for what your heart hopes for.
ReplyDeleteI'm also giggling a little at the part about figlia not licking the stick.
:-O So awesome if it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePlease try not to get too far ahead of yourself. I know how badly that you want there to be a second line and I am HOPING that there is. But there is a warning NOT to read the test beyond XX minutes (depending on the brand) for the very reason that the evap line could be misread as a positive second line.
ReplyDeleteKeep testing, but be prudent with your heart.
Ooooh....
ReplyDeleteWhat Mina said.
OOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteIt is rather early, so...who knows? But, much luck - and well done on that last thing. Eeeewwww!
ReplyDeleteI will be impatiently waiting for a follow-up...
Wishing you a cautious but hopeful heart.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Hoping the second line is a legit second line!
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Figlia not licking the stick!
And I saved the stick from being licked by Figlia.
ReplyDeleteAt least this time around, you've got some comic relief.
