Hi Sister

I finally put up a picture of Figlia in the house. (yes, there wasn't any of hers till now, even though I have more than a thousand of her).

I realized Figlia calls other girls something equivalent to older sister. I showed her the pic, and that is what she called the human in the pic.

"No, it's you. >>insert real name<<"

Figlia muttered - >>real name<<

Oh ma precious!

So, it's all fun and games, and that is one activity we do every day, sometimes multiple times in a day. Point to the pic and ask who the human is.

Till it struck me to take her to her sister's pic.

I know that Figlia tends to point girls as older sister. She was truly facing her older sister.

Nopes, not a thing came from her mouth. She wasn't quite interested by the pic either too.

(We like things we can hold and twist and turn in our hands, lick them or possibly throw them on the floor. If none of that happens, we do not like stuff much.)

I wished she would say older sister but she didn't. Maybe someday.

  1. I will come. I am sure of it. Although it is a bit too abstract for the moment to realise that the baby in the picture is her sister, I think.

Processing relations between humans is quite puzzling, at least for George is. He was surprised to find out that he is not the only George in the world, that his godfather is also named George. So he decided of his own accord that his name is now AHEM. And he tells everyone that. I wonder how long this will last.

  2. IT will come. IT. Bloody typos...

  3. Have you done it more than once? Because you may have just hit that "I'm no longer interested in this game" moment. Figlia will learn about her older sister because you'll tell her about C-Bub.

However, I do recommend getting a copy of a picture of C-Bub, putting it in a not very breakable frame (I had a plastic photo book for my girl) and giving it to her to hold and lick and throw on the floor. When my husband was working away from home most of the time, I had that so my daughter wouldn't forget who Daddy was.

  4. Also...chuckling at Mina's George...I mean AHEM.

  5. She'll get it someday (*hugs*) My sister always had a photo of her daughter in her home, and her boys eventually understood the concept of their departed sister, and who she was, and grew into that understanding. It takes time though.

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
