There is still a sputter of murmur of butter on the topic in the past post. (I have been taking inspiration from Shakespeare for improving my writing skills. Why, thanks for noticing.)
In the his and her circle of friends, her friends and family have several people who have two and are surviving it well, there are few with one and declaring that digit enough, and couples who (are fertile, some ironies are tough to explain and expand upon) have voluntarily decided to remain child-free. The her connections of Her Highness, at least the friends/colleagues bit, are vocal about why they made the choices about their family the way they made it. Her Highness keeps biting the ears of His Highness, picking bits from conversations (the super female communication skill at its best, the ability to sneak up the same topic at any time of the day, and in any context).
Her feels that he too does have communication of some sort in this regard with his connections. He and his connections do not exactly talk and have dedicated conversations like the kind her does repeatedly. He just has threads and loops from here and there. He currently has friends/colleagues with just one, or now two, and the kind of couple of who are trying to start in the progeny department.
So her keeps poking he on the issue that runs in her mind. Her was sure that she would try again when dear daughter would turn one-ish. Her is sitting on the training ground of the racing track, not yet willing to stand at the start line. She keeps looking at it though.
So, her pokes he again. Like I told Mina, as a typical male of the species, he does not talk in "as much algebra as a woman would prefer".
But the thing that hits her time and again is that her wants to feel pregnant again. Her knows that the desire to be pregnant is the desire for a child.
P.S. SuperGyn advised me during an appointment last year on a question not yet asked. Her advise to me - 'sooner than later'.

I think if Her keeps staring at the starting line, then Her can tell what is in her heart and maybe the decision has already been made? It's a tough one, though, when He isn't exactly on the same page.
ReplyDeleteI am a doer, so thinking is taking me less time than it takes a thinker. Which is both good and bad, As anything else in the world. Which colours my judgement. That said...
ReplyDeleteIt seems the time for Her to do sth is near. Which means you need to think, talk and decide what to do, before doing anything. This is hard stuff. The number of children to take care doubles, but the effort needed is ten times greater in the beginning. This is not just about you, Him needs to do his part of thinking, talking and doing. It will be easier when youget tothe doing part, I think. I hope you both get to where you want.
Sometimes, the roundabout conversation doesn't do the job, and things must be addressed directly. Even if the result is nagging - AN ANSWER must be reached. Because of time. But don't have the conversation until you've worked it (mostly) out in your own mind, or it won't do any good.
