Catching Breaks. Not.

Fourth consecutive night,
Aye refused to sleep.
Car drives, feeding, killing lights, shushhhing,
Aye refused to sleep.
Griping, Singing, Praying, Ignoring,
Aye refused to sleep.
Mum actually searched Aye's back for her batteries because,
Aye refused to sleep.
What's wrong with her? She is tired, why doesn't she sleep?
Coz fourth night in a row, Aye refused to sleep.
Fighting with sleep killers for an hour and more,
the room lights were finally turned on.
Aye smiled at Daddy,
Aye refused to sleep.

    I think our children are communicating. No breaks for me Wednesday and Thursday nights and he only woke up one for his Dad last night. Where was I? Awake at work! Go figure. Hang in there, remember it won't last forever.

    Oh the joys of the sleep regression! Sorry you're having issues. With V I now have to hold him so he can't get distracted, or lay with him (holding him tightly to me) for him to calm down and sleep. Otherwise he'll just keep grabbing my glasses, pulling my hair, smiling and laughing, then crying, because he's so sleep deprived he goes completely silly. It's hard! Hang in there. I hope you find something that works for you all.

    Oh dear! I am so sorry! Oliver went through a similar phase, apparently it's normal as they grow. The one thing that seems to have helped us is Dr. Green's book "New Toddler Taming" which is actually written in a very funny way. I would recommend it!

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
