I consider it a brilliant idea to post a list of pregnancy symptoms decently before the pregnancy ends. I had been aggregating the list over a couple of weeks, and I realize that if I were writing all of these things now, I wouldn't be able to infuse any humour, because I have been very volatile lately.
And I have unintentionally slipped into Mode Selfish, and even though I have been reading the comments and holding them close, I have not made the efforts to either hit 'Reply' or go back to the respective blogs and return your sweet consideration. I suspect this selfishness will be on for a while, so bear with me, and hang on with me. Please. And thank you. And please. And well, thank you. I haven't missed the words, but I am currently looped out.
The Said Symptoms -
-Are there oil wells on the South Pole? I hope there are, because my kid will be very employable considering the practice he/she is getting at drilling in that direction.
-It is easier for me to answer what I want to eat than to answer what I don't want to eat. It's because I seem to have become a very picky eater. I am not this kind, and it freaks me to think that the kiddo might be a picky eater himself/herself. I am not exactly a star in the kitchen.
-If I manage to eat what I am inwardly making a face at, the food will come back out from the food pipe. I think that principle is called LIFO.
-I am excited at the prospect of a good dessert. In fact, I have become shameless enough to decide beforehand what I will be wanting to try at a particular event (at least when I know where the meal is being hosted).
-Oranges! Oranges! They are my favourite...and they have always been so....and I absolutely love and crave them this time around too.
-Tachycardia and Rapid Breathing episodes? That would be me. Thankfully, that subsides when I lie down in left lateral position. (This symptom has disappeared over the past few days, and I am not missing it)
-If you want to fool Neil Armstrong with a repeat trip to the moon, you can make him land on my bums. Yeah, you want me to explain this one?
-I am glad to report that I finally can rant about swollen ankles....thanks to the event that happened over the last weekend, I have feet that look like tiny lotus pads.
-I have localized round ligament pain....which is way better than the suspicion of scar tenderness.
-I sleep in waves....when I sleep, I do so well. But that sleeping is interspersed with episodes of wakefulness.
And again, let me just say and underline a big thanks for your holding on to me while I play obligation-free. You make me feel better with your words and kind e-mails and FB messages.
You sound like you're in pretty good spirits about all your symptoms...must be all the dessert!
ReplyDeleteBeen sooooo slack and slow with commenting, but wanted you to know I have been thinking of you and your two precious little ones, so much.

We all go through those selfish times with our blogs - it's totally understandable! I agree with @areyoukiddingme - you seem to be in pretty good spirits - moreso than the beginning of this post warned!
ReplyDeleteheehee, you crack me up! Pregnancy ain't for the faint of heart, that's for sure! Enjoy all the discomforts, it will not be for much longer. Then you get all the postpartum + screaming newborn discomforts! (Worth it!!)
ReplyDeleteYou absolutely, positively get a pass on obligations for the duration. {{{Hugs}}} and love coming your way.
ReplyDeleteA dessert worth its trouble can make everything better, even if it's for a little while. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour symptoms' account give the impression you are facing them with amusement and determination to put up with them no matter what, which is the best attitude you could wish for.
No one could possibly hold against you the fact that you are focusing on yourself and Season right no.
Wishing you all the best and thinking of you.
Hugs.
Thinking of you and hoping you are getting extra dessert servings! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize, you have an excellent excuse!
ReplyDeleteFast breathing is called tachypnea. :-) Glad you're doing well, and have an extra piece of cake for me!
ReplyDeleteThose discomforts at least remind you things are moving along. Still here with you. :)
