Closer

Had a Doppler today, and it took me some internal calming when I saw a loop of cord closely encircling Season's neck.

Not to flip you either, but I also had my first cortisone injection (for lung maturity) and have another one scheduled tomorrow.

I hope to go to end of December atleast, and ideally the first week of January.

Monitoring is the hot key now.

Made me think of this:

  1. Oh dear God, is it that time already? To start flipping and worrying and praying and hoping and wishing for the best for you? And continuously check for news? And wishing and praying and hoping and finger crossing? I can't believe that cord...
Thinking of and praying for you.
    Many hugs.

  4. Yeah, that cord around the neck, while common, will definitely give you a turn, won't it? I hope Season makes a turn or something and gets that out of there!

    January baby sounds good...

  5. Oh no. How early will season be if shes born in late december? How concerned was your Dr? I will be thinking of you. And Season.

  6. Many, many hugs. Such a scary thing to see! The extra monitoring has many advantages, but man if it doesn't create a lot of extra fear and worry for some. :-( I'm praying with all I've got that on your next scan, her cord has moved

  7. Thinking of you and Season and hoping for a January baby!

  8. Repeat after me Season, "I will not make an appearance until late December or early January..." I'm sure that was extra scary seeing the cord like that but I'm so thankful you're going to have lots of monitoring going on right now. I'm guessing you're in good hands and everything is going to be a-okay.

  9. Sending stay safe vibes to Season, and you too. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. But you're right, it will be over soon and you will have your bub safe in your arms. And it will be wonderful.

  10. Oh dear! Thinking such good thoughts for you and Season.

The upside of the extra monitoring is that you get to gaze at Season many more times before the arrival.

  11. Oh no, that's not something you want right now. I hope the cord will move, and you will have Season safely in your arms when the time is right, hopefully January.

  12. Thinking of you and hoping beyond hope that time passes quickly so that you can have Season safely in your arms.

  13. How many weeks are you now? Is your doc thinking you may deliver early? Hoping everything goes smoothly, and that Season slips right back out of that cord. Thinking of you!

  14. Holding my breath and sending good thoughts -- I'm glad they're monitoring closely.

  15. Not long now. I found the last few weeks very hard and cried all the time. Just keep breathing. Sending my love. xx
