Yes Babe, that is SO funny!

Season has been pretty quiet since yesterday.

I am officially announcing that this kid has no pattern. When there was very little kicking the whole day, and I finally lost my marbles by the evening, I whipped out the doppler. The baby's FHR was 135 bpm. And oh, the kid kicked at the wand.

The same thing happened today and the FHR reading from about 10 minutes ago is 140 bpm.

Baby is addicted to doppler machines, coz the kid goes enthusiastic only after it. That has not lasted either.

Maybe the kid is awake all night. Maybe that's why. And I sleep like a log. Maybe.

  1. Hang in there!! I've decided the same thing - I had a total heart attack a few days ago when Rockstar decided no movement before bed or the next morning was funny after moving consistently at those times for the week before... by noon I was freaking out, and I don't have a doppler. AcK. No rhyme or reason to sleeping, though how I can expect anything different when my work shifts have been split between days and nights this whole pregnancy. Kiddo is confused.

Glad Season is okay, and that s/he has a sense of humor. :)

  2. Indeed, making mum go nuts is so funny. :-)
George kicked the doppler every time the nurse strapped me for the NSTs. And I did sleep like a log during my pregnancy (made up for that afterwards though), so I have no idea what he did during the night. So yeah, funny.
    Hope you're well.

  3. My kids both loved to freak me out. Right after I would start freaking out but right before I went to the ER they would say "just kidding" and punch me in the cervix. I called my sister SO MANY TIMES crying because they hadn't moved in a long time.

  4. Sweetie you know what, after all you have been through anxiety is only normal. And for this reason I think no one will deny you a scan. So go in, get checked and put your mind at ease. Much love, Fran

  7. I'd be popping out that doppler! Silly child! Sure it won't be the last heart attack this kiddo gives you over the next 18y+. Having girl/boy thoughts?

  9. That's funny about the doppler :) Mine kicks at it a lot too, I love it. Maybe Season is sleeping at night, very possible.

  11. I heard eating ice-cream makes them move
    it's cold (not too comfortable)
and if cold is okay - then it's sweet, so they get hyper ;)

  12. I couldn't get through a pregnancy without a doppler. It seriously kept me sane.

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
