Shake Yer Head

Something away from IF and grieving for a brief while!

I got awarded with two awards - The Versatile Blogger (by gingerandlime, Jacksmom and theluckylife) and The Stylish Blog (by C).

The Versatile Blogger (as I understood from Jacksmom's post) requires me to thank the person who gave me the award, list 10 things about myself and tag 15 blogs that I have begun reading recently.

The Stylish blog requires me to do almost the same, except that I get to do 7 me-bullets and award those I like.

Combining the two, I am doing a 10-bullet post about myself. And many thanks to gingerandlime, Jacksmom, theluckylife and C.

----

1. I like chocolates in all forms but don't like ones where mint and chocolate are combined.

2. The orange comb that I use, has been with me since I was in my early teens.

3. I always wanted somebody to gift me a teddy bear. My dream came true when an ex-student gifted me one on my 32nd birthday. He gifted me the same in early January 2010, and the teddy had a small teddy attached to it. I took it as a sign.

4. I believe in my dreams - at least some of them, which remain vivid and alive even after I wake up, as ones that have some message for me.

5. When I was pregnant with Kaiser, I actually for a while believed I was carrying a boy. But later on, and especially as the third trimester came by, my intuition began signalling that I was expecting a girl.

6. I may not always try to clarify my position to someone who has some misconception about me, even if that someone is very close to me.

7. I am moody. Now if I am not in the mood for doing something, and someone is at my throat to finish it, I will manage to do it. But if I am not in the mood, and no one is on my head, I have a lot of trouble accomplishing the task even if I know that it will be good for me, and even if there is a deadline.

8. My favourite colour changes often.

9. I often get irritated at my mom who is a champion nagger. Fortunately for my husband, I have inherited the same trait.

10. As of today, I have two goals - finishing my thesis (please!) and getting pregnant again (please please please!). Both immediately.

The Tagging

I would like to mix the new blogs I have begun reading and some oldies to tag for both the awards. Twisting rules is another of my thing.

I haven't counted how many blogs I have tagged and I don't care about the number really. I did it coz I wanted to. :-)

  1. Thanks for the bling! I'll pick the Stylish Blog Award then, since I've recently been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award by two other bloggers. I feel the same about #4.

  2. Thank you sweetie!

But, how can you not like chocolate and mint together? Absolute heresy I say.

  6. Hello! I am so glad to have discovered who St Elsewhere is! Thanks for leaving the breadcrumbs :)
I do kind of agree about mint with chocolate, however, if it's the only thing on offer I will indulge. It is chocolate after all.
Can I be lazy (and not search your blog) and ask what your thesis is on? How far through it are you?
Thanks for the awards, and even more thanks for still visiting my blog despite my prolonged absences xx

  7. Thank you, my dear! This is so sweet of you.

I am with Kristin on the choco-mint issue - pure heresy...

  8. Awww thank you my dear, I'll take the stylish blogger award cause we've known each other for quite a while now :)

I'm one for the minty chocolate folk - but only if it's dark chocolate!

    :) x

  9. Thank you for the honour!

I love your list of 10 things about you and the humour with which you write even when you are writing about less than pleasant things.

    Love,
    Maddy

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
