I Said It

Found my mother crying in her room last night. I finally told her:

"You should have given me the chance to say Goodbye. You should have let me hold her before she was taken away for her funeral.

I will forever feel it."

Silence.

  1. Good. I'm glad you said it. I was wondering how this was working - it is so hard to guess at because I know nothing of your life & relationships, but I think you did well to say it calmly and explain what impact it had.

  2. Found your blog from josey, couldn't help reading your story. I am so very sorry for Lola's loss, and that you didn't get to say goodbye.
