The silence on the blog has been deliberate. An intentional cut-down of the my-time on the internet, so that I could pursue something to finality.
Lot of things have happened in between; completely unexpected turn of events and all. I want to blog about them, and surely will when I can put some concerted effort into documenting and weaving my words.
I cut the silence to say something important:
Kaiser/Lola is likely to be here on January 14th. A C-Section is in the offing.
O.M.G.!!!!
And I find myself unprepared to the hilt. I planned my shopping for the 'reprieve days' I had in City X, and I won't be making to the City X minus Kaiser, which means I need stuff for the baby and all. OMG!
My mother is here, and it has brought in some semblance of sanity with me wanting to have done something completely before Kaiser/Lola came. Now Kaiser is going to be here sooner than I expected. OMG!
I had composed a letter to the baby around December 28th/29th and I want to post it here, because whatever I write after this, will perhaps be after Kaiser is already here.

Hey Kaiser,
It is just a few days now and we will meet in person. Obviously, you would be crying and I would be laughing and that would be the grand entry of you into the world.
Because I want to load you with my whiny expectations of how the perfect world should be, I will keep on writing these letters to you (atleast for as long as I wish to). After that, you won't remain just a distant entity and would become a living, crying, pooping muncher.
I have some grand revelations for you today. I hope that you will be able to see people and their behaviour for what it actually is, much rather than that what it seems to be. I also want you to be able to judge people on your own, wthout the glasses that the world will expect you to put on and see slanted. Well, your mother definitely has done it. My opinion about somebody may differ from what my friends and parents tell me. And it is not because I lack respect for these groups.
I am so curious to find out how you actually look. Will you have a full head of hair or be bald like your mom (at birth)?
My father was patiently waiting outside the operation theatre when he was told that he had a daughter. A couple of babies were wheeled out and he pointed at one bald, parrot-nosed baby saying that this baby was definitely his.
I wonder how you father would react to it. It is increasingly sinking to him that he is going to be a father. And to that acknowledgement from him, all I say is 'About time!'.
You are apparently the fertile charm in the family which is funny because you are being born to somebody who has not had it easy to have you. You already have two cousins on the way! One of them is expected to arrive in April-May and the other will arrive around June-July. And there are even more babies to come. Your timing is so perfect.

I hope everything is OK! I've been expecting something unexpected this whole pregnancy that I've been riding around with my hospital bag in my trunk for weeks. My c-section tips: buy some enormous panties. I only had bikini types, and they still irritate my scar, almost 3 years later.
ReplyDeleteLots of happiness to you! Hope you and k/l are okay!
