I can feel Kaiser move!!! And it is amazing really. [Though I almost always find a bone to get crucked on.] Like, the first time I felt those solid kicks was evening, then a couple of days later I got a three-kicker on an afternoon after I laughed at a funny statement a student made.
And now I am obsessed with finding some pattern. One morning, I woke up and felt Kaiser having a go at my innards. I must tell you it hurts to be losing a boxing match where you just can't get back. I did have my 'ha!' when I turned sides and the kicking reduced. I did not feel bad about countering Kaiser then, and now I am like 'Jeez, I should have let that continue'.
Since then, Kaiser seems to have understood that Mamma does know a couple of tricks, and he/she seems to space out flutterings throughout the day...rather than odd fixed time-spots.
And I kind of miss him/her doing the jig during evening time...Kaiser just won't persist with a pattern.
I almost managed to post a rant on Friday and I am glad I did not. After I got some additional input from somebody at the office, I realized that I had perceived it incorrectly. I am glad I did not bluck out somebody and then realize that it was not meant like that.
Anyways, this person I am talking to you about (she started TTC about six months back) was mighty upset that her husband's sperm count was only 56 million and because he was a Dentist, he was surrounded by evil sperm-killer machines all day!!! Serrrriously? Is that an upsetting figure? The new secret I learnt was that she is 'on her way' now.

The rant I planned to post was not on her stupidity, but about how she was set to quote a month-long leave-without-pay off that I had taken in November 2008, to leverage an off for herself (had the last cycle not worked for her). I am happy the cycle worked for her and she could not 'use me'. I don't find it funny that she wanted to jump into the 'cant-have-babies-wagon' so soon into her trying to conceive pursuit and using me as a crutch indirectly. Blech, lady!
For all you cravers of the Mount Bump Watch, here is my 22w5d belly shot.
Enjoy!

P.S. Wooties, this is my 400th post!

Glorious belly shot! ;-)
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's a wee bit early to track a pattern. But in a couple of weeks you will decipher it all right. And you will know when he reacts to what you are doing and when he tries to get your attention. Fun, wonderful times.
Love the pic. You look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine that the wee one may develop patterns. Kind of fun that he's keeping you on your toes (well, fun for me, anyway).
And boo on your co-worker.
you look beautiful! i'm glad kaiser is bugging you. :D
ReplyDeleteboo on the colleague - how obnoxious.
Wow, 400 posts! Congrats on the walloping kicks, too!!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful bump! Congrats on the 400th post and all the wonderful movement. The only pattern of movement I ever really discovered for my kids is that they seemed to like the music during church services and always moved a lot then.
ReplyDeleteLook at you, beautiful!! I love how you turn away from the camera! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Kaiser is doing the jig. The happy baby jig!
400 posts?!?! Wow!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pic, BTW. Even though we can't see your face, I can still feel the glow.
I am so happy Kaiser has started to dance for you! I felt like those were some of my favorite bonding moments - laying in bed at night feeling him and talking to him (and sometimes yelping!).
Go Kaiser! A future kickboxer for sure.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I could not have found your blog until now! First of all congratulations on your miracle, and second how awesome is it when baby goes wild in there :)
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW!
Congratulations on the surprise pregnancy and having a Cardio Tae Boxing baby !
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW
Yay for movement! There are days when I'm sure that the Halfling is doing battle with my lower digestive tract, but it's so reassuring to feel him/her move.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 400th post!
This is my first ICWL, and I loved your quotes and pictures. I also wanted to share that movenment is a funny thing. I had extra challenges because I had two of them in there, but it was always funny to try to interpret if it was a foot, an hand, a head or somebody's butt. And the only consistent thing I remember is that they would stop moving whenever I tried to let someone else feel it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your pregnancy!
