A Little Early Really

I was stretched on the bed, and Birdman was moving around the house, doing his usual morning stuff.

He came back to ask me:
"Hmmm...would the baby be like you or like me?"

I did not need to really respond coz he answered himself - 'Surely like me!!!'.

Please remember that I am not even 5 weeks yet...

    In Germany they say that the first child is daddy's (looks and character). Whenever people tell me that, I tell/remind them I miscarried - so what rules applies to me? This shuts them up quickly (understatement of the month...)

    But I have to admit that this question often pops into my mind. I am very curious to see whom the baby will take after. Actually any baby, not only mine. ;-)

    I have some friends who have two kids. Both the kids look so much alike, and they look like almost a perfect mixture of their parents. Usually kids seem to favor one or the other, but in this family you can clearly see both parents.

    What a fun time--to wonder about how everything will be.

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
