Supplements and Garfunkel

Almost seven days of the super diet are already up. I tend to squeeze in the swallowing business in the middle of my breakfast, so that the taste of those pills is not the last thing in my mouth.

I have been asked to stay away from the troika of Coffee, Chocolates and Aerated Drinks. It is not the first time that I have been asked to resist it, but come on! I am currently on one cup a day of coffee, and so I do not think I am having too much of it.

I love my Pepsi, and I love chocolates, and barring the Milka I finished last week, there has hardly been any chocolate consumed by me. The temperatures here are touching 104 degrees Fahrenheit and to stay away from an aerated drink is the toughest for me.

I think my weakest link in the don’t-haves is the aerated drinks. The easiest for me to avoid right now is Chocolate. The one thing I am not changing is my coffee. One cup a day is not monumental.

I am uber-glad that I have not been forbidden from snorting cocaine, smoking or getting dead-drunk. (Oh wait! I am not doing any of that anyways, am I?)

The CM business got at its peak last Friday/Saturday which was CD15/16 for me. Well, as of now my greatest superstar is God trying to set things right. So, as of now, only he knows whether in this cycle the golden egg and the golden sperm met each other or not.

I really want to say that unless I am at my darkest, I feel very hopeful. I know that my kids are there somewhere.

TMI Alert: I have noticed a change in my bowel behaviour (again!). First the Metformin’s effect, and then the supplements…..this has to officially (and literally) be my Year of the Crap!

  1. oh it's a glamourous road this TTC isn't it? I'm also currently back on the supplement road after a few weeks of just staring angrily at the massive tupperware containing all the supplements.

Pity we have to give up the crack cocaine and binge drinking... would make life so much easier right now ;-) And come on, there are lots of women falling pregnant on crack cocaine right? Maybe we should actually ADD that to the supplement tupperware box?

  2. I tend to agree with luckylife.
Perhaps cocaine is the missing ingredient. It could help you relax (and we all know the importance of THAT) AND take a holiday at the same time. Or perhaps you should smoke some weed, so that you're covered in the grass/wheat department as well? Better do both, huh?

On a side note, just how mega-super-extracalifragilistic would it be to get a golden nugget at the end of this cycle? I dare hope and fidget a bit thinking about it, but not too much, as not to jinx it. But the fingers crossed themselves instinctively.

  3. ROFL @ Year of the Crap!

And wow - you are so strong to cede chocolate, fizzy drinks and most caffeine! Maybe the chocolate is my problem? Why is it not allowed?

Are you feeling any different from the Super-Diet?

  4. Considering the number of women who get knocked up snorting coke and schtupping in the back seat of a Chevy Camero, maybe those are the missing ingredients? If it were only that easy...

  5. You are so cute and so strong girl. It was hard for me to leave caffeine cause I love me some coffee. Oh well after the babies, God Willing I'll be starbucking it again! Hope this regime is IT for you! xoxo

  9. I love that picture! I hope, hope, hope this diet is what does it for you. I think I would be the opposite of you. I have already given up coffee and "aerated drinks," but chocolate? Not a chance.

  10. I'm not giving up hope for you. Hoping, hoping, hoping from the bottom of my heart.

  11. Glad the pill popping is bearable. I think you're a wise woman to cling to your one cup of coffee. Come on, what kind of life would we have if we did everything 'they' tell us to? I agree, if one cup of coffee is going to end your chances of being a mother then we live in the craziest world I've ever heard of.

  12. Wow sounds like an intense diet, but staying off the fizzy drinks and choc is super hard - wishing you lots of will power. Hoping golden egg and golden sperm get to meet very soon!

  13. Year of the crap! Ha!

OK, now I've got that out of my system...

Is it the caffeine they're trying to eliminate? That's the only thing I can think of that coffee, chocolate, and aerated drinks have in common (other than that in some colloquialisms they would all start with "c" since you would refer to the fizzy stuff as carbonated).

You have such will power to put up with this!

  14. Holy crap - what a diet! I hope all of this stuff ends up working!
