x tends to zero

No farmer adds fertilizer to a land he is not planning to seed.

Decision made: No Clomid for me this cycle.

I was in two minds over this.

A…On one hand I thought that there was a chance of late ovulation (no Mam, I have no rational explanation for that), and that I was quantifying the number of hours an egg remains inside post ovulation, and how long a sperm stays alive, and I had this faint hope that sperms may catch the egg a little late but still may (no Mam, I have no rational explanation for that too).

The other reason is that the history of the trip that DH is about to undertake is such that it has been cancelled/postponed in the past. So, if I were not to take Clomid, and DH has his plans scuttled on let’s say, December 4th, I am going to be pretty pleased not.

B…On the other hand, it makes a lot of sense to not take Clomid, when there is likely to be complete missing action in the most crucial days. It does not make sense to poke the ovaries into turning bubble-o when nothing will be done to the outcome…so no senseless medication.

Why does x tend to zero? My calculus munchers would possibly understand. You see, x represents the probability that I will be preggers on my birthday.

  1. So a decision. Still sucks that you even had to decide this. I wish x = something better...

  2. Not a fun decidion to make, I would imagine.

Glad your aunt is doing a bit better. Sending you and your family many positive thoughts and love.

  3. Definitely not an ideal situation. I'm sorry you even had to make a decision. Smoochies from Miss Famous and hugs from me.

  4. It makes sense, but stinks anyway. Whenever I took Clomid I always ovulated earlier (not by a ton, but at least I wasn't ovulating on day 20). It's better not to have to worry about hubby being away, and you guys can have major BD time next month when you take the Clomid.

  6. Not a good situation at all. But you are right - no reason to fertilize land you're not going to seed.

It would be too frustrating to try and work around your husband's questionable schedule. Too frustrating on top of an already frustrating situation.

    Hugs to you . . .

  7. Bah, that is totally frustrating. You have made a good decision because you can only be on clomid so many months in a row, so yeah, why use it on a month that will have scheduling difficulty. But I'm still sorry that you had to deal with any of it. It always feels better to be moving forward.

  8. Me thinks you made the wise choice... and it's not to say that you and DH could not still try in the event of his trip being cancelled - you would just not have the additional clomid induced madness to go along with it...

  9. Whenever I took Clomid I ovulated later myself, but I think there's just enough uncertainty to say "lets call the whole thing off."

  10. It does sound like the best course of action. And the most painful and disappointing. That usually means it is indeed the best, right?

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
