Potent News

My doc SMSed me today with the ICSI and IVF results.

Breaking News: Out of the 13 oocytes, 9 have been fertilized - 8 through ICSI and 1 through IVF

Doc is satisfied with the results. Tomorrow at around 1500 Hrs, the ET will take place and the proposed plan is that 3 will be transferred. The rest will be frozen.

Wow and Double Wow! I have been started with Progesterone(200 mg) from today. Wish me luck! I may not be able to blog tomorrow or even day after tomorrow but I hope that you will send your blessings my way because I am really hoping for all the good luck I could garner from the cosmos!

  20. That is great news! If we get enough eggs, I would like to do some ICSI and some natural just to see if fertilization is our issue. I seem to run across a lot of women who are splitting their eggs lately. I hope that your transfer goes great tomorrow and that you get some great news in a couple of weeks!

  23. Thanks all of you for your well-meaning words. How good was the you-stick-there will become clear on Dec 4th.

Optimisticallyhopeful, there were two reasons why we did this IVF w ICSI thing. One, to get our best shot at it by controlling fertilization. Second, since insurance is not covering the treatment, I wanted to make max out of this cycle.

I Should Have Known

...On the night of 19th when my breasts became hard and sore to touch, the nurses brought me hot water bottles rather than my baby. I should have known. ...Birdman was apparently away to Very Big City with our baby. Every SMS update sent to me about her after 16th Jan was fake. I was a donkey eating at his trough. Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
