One Medium Spicy Deep Fried Retro Post

##November 20, 2008##

Started the day by watching Sheryl Crow croon 'Everyday is a Winding Road'. Had an early lunch and went to the centre at 1350 Hrs. The procedure started at 1515 Hrs. I was asked to keep a full bladder for the procedure. Whew!

No intracath, no anesthesia. Phenomenal! The procedure goes well and the doc tells me that I cooperated well. I hope I can say the same to my uterus as well!

One wonderful thing was that prior to the procedure, my doc showed me where my uterus was and after the procedure, I got to take a pic of the 3 embies they put inside me.

I remained on the operating room table for about an hour - just resting and then was transported to the post-operative recovery room. I have clicked some pics there, but as soon as I am able to transfer the pics to my laptop, I will show you what I saw for three more hours in the recovery room.

I shared my room with another ET case and a lady who had an ectopic pregnancy and was bleeding.

My doc advised me to lie down straight and (you know what?) I was that way the whole night of 20th. Given four days of strict bed rest.

After the ET, the only discomfort I had was a mild nausea, quickly taken care of with a few spoonfuls of Ice-Cream.

Happy Birthday Mummy!

I wake up in the wee hours, partially out of the discomfort and partially because the alarm is ringing. I can hear my mother move around. She goes away to pick up an aunt (A1) from the train station. I go back to sleep.

Wake up again to kitchen noises and am deeply tempted by the prospect of tea in bed. However, I have major news to share - I had a peculiar dream in my awake-sleep-awake duration. I saw my aunt (A2) in the hospital in a dark turmeric sari. Secondly, I saw a snake and 2 rabbits (or were they hares, bigger than the normal bunnies, gray and standing on two feet?) who were hunting for prey(????). Deeply perplexed by the vivid dream. The snake was yellow with spots like a big feline.

On bed, the whole day, but could change positions. Only one thing - I was still peeing a lot - Thanks Wysolone!

Had guests for dinner in home. Got to have all the great food minus moving my ass. He He He!

Day starts awfully. I am woken up by pain in my tummy. I have been eating for the past two days but have not been able to relieve myself. The diktat over no-pressure also had me psyched and so I just did not get to long-trip loo.

I am scared. I may make a mess of this whole thing just because of my constipation? Supermom comes to rescue again. A concoction of rock salt, lemon juice and tepid water does the trick. I am good again. And thankfully over myself!

I become careful about everything. I shun comedy on TV, not turn over my tummy and try hard to not catch a cold. For the first time in my life, I was sensitized to the fact that how much pressure does a sneeze put on the tummy!

TV is still my companion and I am catching up on movies and music mostly. VH1 is playing a lot of Beyonce's If I were a Boy and Dido's Don't Believe in Love and I just lap it up. Peaceful sleep!

Nothing extraordinary! But I am already wanting to stand up from bed. I am sick of being on the bed at all times.

I spent these few days touching my tummy, talking to my babies (I just don't see them as a bunch of cells) and telling them that I really want to meet them and will they give me the chance to hold them and raise them and be my kids and so on. I had my mom touch my tummy from time to time. She is so spiritual. Maybe she is a less of a hypocrite than me on the divine self and so in a better position to be heard there.

A1 leaves us to travel back. She was on the train the day I had the embie transfer and that night she saw a beautiful baby - chubby and pink. She is positive she has seen my baby. Woot!

Just wanting to have 25th come up real fast, so that I can climb out of bed, take a bath and take a walk!

Phew!

Season...

With very limited time and access to the netz, I just want to declare that Lady Season is here. She arrived last Wednesday, and I will someday in future speak of how due to SuperPed's preparedness a crisis was averted. I tend to have firework endings. Her with me, and my first chance of mothering is like a spray of cold water on my face. I am very sleep deprived. Apparently, wise birds said to me that I should sleep when the girl sleeps, but so far my body schedule and kid's schedule are haywire. I hope to be better adapted to this soon. It is tough for me to find net time as of now, and there are a couple of things I want to post online, since CBub's dates also passed by recently, but so far it does not seem to be happening. And I just want to say thanks. Even though I am craptastic at responding, I am reading off and on as I can manage.
