Aaa….Would I?

My sis-in-law is visiting us along with her six-month old. I was playing with the kid when I realized that when I was bored or tired, I could hand over the baby to her mom. When I turn mommy, I will lose that liberty. Would I mind it?

She quit her job to spend time with her baby. I wasn’t in favour of it because I was aware of how much hard work she had put in to get on company rolls. I always thought that she would deeply regret her decision. I am happy to report that she is not. I always thought that when a woman has tasted financial independence, she would feel her sense of worth dented if that independence were to be compromised. Ahem!

  4. I have to admit there are days that you wish you could give them back but the vast majority of the days the are the absolute loves of your life.

  5. Here from ICLW. The whole work/don't work thing is hard. I still haven't really figured out how I feel about it.

  6. I think every person needs to figure out the work/not work thing for herself. Our circumstances are all so different, you know? I'm glad your SIL is happy with her decision.

  7. Well...99.999.999.999 % of the time I am so in love with my kids and my choices!

However, I will say that now that we KNOW we are done expanding our family, I REVEL in holding other people's babies, rocking them and cooing them to sleep, then handing them back when the party is over.

So - you eventually get back there!

The whole work/no work debate is hard. I guess each person has to decide which works best for them.
